A lecturer at University of Basrah participates in the fourteenth patent conference in the State of Kuwait
A lecturer at College of Science at University of Basrah, Dr. Najwa Muhammad Jamil Ali Abu Majdad, participated in the fourteenth conference on patents for two patents, which was joined by Kuwait University. The participation included the submission of two patents, the first for the production of two antibacterial flavonoids from yeasts, while the second for the production of beta carotenoids from two colorful yeasts from Iraqi soil and their use as antifungals against pathogenic fungi. Participation aims to encourage investment in research and development, and the patent system encourages creative thinking and innovation in various fields, as it acts as an incentive for individuals and companies to develop technology and others.
