Teaching at the University of Basra and Chairman of the Master’s Thesis Discussion Committee at Al-Muthanna University
A lecturer at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Mustafa Jawad Abbas, was chosen as the head of the committee to discuss his master’s thesis entitled (The phenomenon of captivity in the Islamic heritage until the end of the Umayyad era, a historical study) in the History Department at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Muthanna.
The thesis aimed to study the roots of the phenomenon of captivity and the solutions and treatments that the Islamic community has created to reduce and legalize it due to its negative effects on the individual and society.
The message included the ways and means that the Noble Messenger and his family, may God’s prayers be upon them all, followed to limit it based on the foundations that God established in His Noble Book. The message included the wrong cognitive foundation that some historians followed in the continuation and rooting of this phenomenon.
