As part of volunteer activities in community service and promoting positive participation in community solidarity, the College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Student Activities Unit and the Quality Division, organized a visit to the nursing home for the elderly in Basra, under the auspices of the Dean of the College, Dr. Gibran Khalil, and with the participation of a number of faculty and students.
The unit’s official, Professor Dr. Sanaa Jawad Al-Mayah, stated: During the visit, moral and logistical support was provided by professors’ donations and proceeds from the charity market organized by the college.
In turn, the administration of the center extended its thanks and praise to the staff of the College of Pharmacy for these humanitarian activities that enhance the concepts of charitable volunteer work and rapprochement between all groups and segments of Iraqi society.
