The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at Basra University organized a seminar on the use of plant extracts to remove heavy metals from water.
The seminar, in which graduate student Sajjad Faisal Maree lectured, aimed to highlight the possibility of using sustainable and environmentally friendly development materials because they contain multiple effective components and their ability to get rid of heavy elements through their association with these components.
The seminar discussed the role of plant extracts in improving the properties of the aquatic environment and the necessity of using environmentally friendly materials in environmental treatments that are low-cost, available and do not cause any harmful effects on the environment.
