The College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra organized a large celebration on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the founding of the university, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Nidaa Muhammad Baqir, and the College Council, during which various events were presented.
Dean Dr. Nidaa Muhammad congratulated the college’s employees, reviewed its most prominent achievements, and extended thanks and appreciation to the college’s professors and employees for the exceptional efforts they make for the success of the educational process.
During the celebration, Surat Al-Fatiha was read for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, the national anthem was played, presented by college students, poetry recited and national anthems were recited, an operetta was presented representing university life, and an overview of the institutions of the University of Basra and the beginnings of its founding. Students with special needs in the college presented excerpts from their personal experiences that represent the challenge and determination to overcome. On what hinders their harmony with society and the realization of their personal ambitions, and on the sidelines of the celebration, the college’s employees who were referred for retirement and those who contributed to the celebration were honored.
