The College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra held its third international scientific conference in the human sciences in the presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi.
The University President stressed the importance of scientific research as the best way to express the university’s scientific and humanitarian mission, and that this research should discuss areas of sustainable development and address societal problems, such as environmental and water pollution, and psychological and educational conditions.
The university president added that these conferences enhance interaction between researchers and increase experiences and knowledge through cooperation between them and institutions in a way that serves society.
The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Nidaa Muhammad Baqir, after welcoming the President of the University, the researchers and the attendees, indicated the need for scientific research to be concerned with what serves society and contributes to directing thinking and social change.
A large number of academics, researchers and university professors participated in the conference in many scientific topics in various humanitarian specializations, discussing environmental and water problems, psychological and educational problems, as well as historical studies, linguistics, the Qur’an, and others
