University of Basrah organizes its twelfth scientific conference on the legislative challenges of applying artificial intelligence
College of Law at University of Basrah, in cooperation with Shatt al-Arab University College, organized its twelfth scientific conference under the title (Legislative Challenges for the Application of Artificial Intelligence and Modern Electronic Technologies). The conference aims to discuss the topic of artificial intelligence, which has a significant impact on daily life and in various fields of knowledge and education. Its use is particularly focused on providing assistance to the user in various sectors, such as its use in the fields of transportation, education, scientific research, medicine, finance, environment, and development. Sustainability, space, public policy and in all areas of life. The conference included a group of research from inside and outside Iraq and discussed the negatives of using artificial intelligence, such as attacks on the right to privacy, as well as what may result from algorithmic bias and lack of impartiality on the part of electronic program makers, the protection of individuals’ personal data, intellectual property rights, and what happens when they are violated. Lack of transparency, security risks at the internal and international levels, falsification of facts, fraud, and harm to the structure of the family and society, in addition to the constant threat to the existence of a real scientific and research effort that determines the educational process at the levels of primary and higher education.
