The Department of Earth Science - College of Science at the University of Basrah hosted the eleventh course on radiation and chemical safety and public safety. The course aimed to provide safety and security conditions in accordance with international standards, in addition to raising the efficiency and experience of research staff, students and workers in this field. The symposium in which the lecturers included Dr.. Jabbar Hafez Jabr and Prof. Dr. Hussein Hassan Hussein and .Dr. Maitham Abdullah Ali, which continued over four days to introduce the chemical, biological and radiological materials that threaten the security and safety of the university and society if they are misused, the safe disposal of hazardous waste, and the development of educational and cognitive capabilities concerned with chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear safety and security.
