Basrah University hosts the graduation ceremony of Jousour program class
The honoring ceremony for graduates of Jousour Training and Employment Program was launched this morning, sponsored by University of Basrah and World Food Program (FAO), which lasted for four months, in the presence and official representation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and foreign companies operating in Basrah, and a large gathering of college deans, students, teachers, and associates. Regarding the purpose of the honor, the University President, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, said, “According to the agreement concluded between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Food Program of the United Nations working in Iraq, which aims to embrace graduates of six Iraqi universities, including our generous university, University of Basrah, it was done with God’s help.” Graduating a class estimated at (325) male and female students, and today we celebrate this group of our graduates with all those who contributed to the success of Jousour program, including professors, lecturers, technical and administrative supporters.” For his part, Director of the International and Arab Organizations Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Muwaffaq Sajat Samir, noted his ministry’s keenness to keep Iraqi university graduates abreast of labor market requirements in mastering the skills necessary to obtain a job opportunity in the government and private sectors, including mastering life skills, English language skills, entrepreneurship and technology. Information, pinning his hope that the opening of the job fair for foreign companies, held against the backdrop of the honoring festival, will select a group of graduates of the Jusoor program to work in those companies that contribute to supporting the program. Regarding the training and practical lessons that graduates of the Jusoor program underwent, the representative of the graduates, Rawan Fadel Hamza, said, “I graduated from the College of Administration and Economics, Department of Accounting, and I participated in the Jusoor training program over the past four months, where I received many practical training in mastering desktop computer programs and learning the skills of speaking and listening.” in the English language, as well as the skills of leading a work team, making decisive decisions, and electronic marketing. I express my thanks and gratitude to my professors, the course trainers from University of Basrah, who were keen to follow us in person and electronically and late at night in order to provide us with the experiences and skills that we will reap the fruits of when we obtain the job opportunity soon. hopefully ."
