The Faculty of science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on reservoir characteristics and the three-dimensional integrated geological model of the mudud Limestone reservoir in the West Qurna Field 1, southern Iraq . The seminar aimed at a detailed description of the oil deposit and the preparation of a three-dimensional geological model .The seminar, which was attended by Maysa Abdul Latif Abdul Hamid, included a detailed description of shale formations and petrophysical specifications (porosity, permeability and water saturation) and their horizontal and vertical distribution within the west al-qarta 1 field, in addition to calculating the oil reserves . The workshop recommended the need to invest the mudud Limestone reservoir within the West Qurna 1 field, which contains a good oil reserve that has not been optimally invested yet.
