The Faculty of science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on improving oil recovery using (Low Salinity Water-Surfactant-Polymer) in the Artawi field in southern Iraq .the seminar aimed to improve and increase oil production from wells using secondary and tertiary production methods. The seminar, in which the lecturer Rahman Fakher Matar lectured, included the use of secondary production methods (water flooding) as well as chemical methods in the tertiary production stage, where rock models were taken from the reservoir and the amputation and physical properties of the cores were studied, after which materials were injected to further improve oil production in the secondary production stage and tertiary production stage .
