The Department of Geography at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra organized a seminar on predicting trends in relative humidity and some condensation phenomena over Iraq.
The seminar aimed to clarify the concept of climate prediction and phenomena related to the most important elements of the atmosphere and what is related to it, and its importance in future plans.
The seminar, presented by graduate student Aseel Shaker Sawadi, included an explanation of methods for predicting climate elements and phenomena such as relative humidity, evaporation, total cloudiness, some condensation phenomena over Iraq, and the number of rainy days to give a future idea of the climate of Iraq through several different climate stations in Iraq, relying on time series to understand the behavior of the phenomenon. Then predict them, and explain the importance of predicting these elements and phenomena and knowing their direction and fluctuations in time and space to give an idea about the climate of Iraq in the future, which contributes to better decision-making in many sectors in the country
