Sponsored by the Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab Today, Thursday, 5/16/2024, the training workshop on the basics of first aid, organized by the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, was concluded for the supervisors of the internal departments at Bab Al-Zubair Complex and Karma Ali Complex.On his part, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, explained that the course covered many topics that aimed to transfer health knowledge and expertise to the course participants with the practical application of many activities, in addition to qualifying internal department employees and increasing their level of awareness about how to deal with With multiple injuries and emergency cases inside or outside the departments and until the competent authorities arrive.In turn, the professors supervising the course expressed their appreciation and gratitude for giving them the opportunity to participate in the training and transfer practical and scientific experiences to the employees of the University of Basra and expand the segment of intellectuals with the sound foundations of first aid for the benefit of the students.It is worth noting that the course presented a number of recommendations, most notably the continuity of organizing such training workshops and motivating all employees to participate in them, in addition to emphasizing the importance of spreading the culture of first aid among employees and students and enhancing the role of the media in spreading health awareness about first aid and disseminating correct health information.
