Dr. Makiya Muhalhal Khalaf in the Department of Ecology at the College of Science participated in a workshop on statistical analysis of environmental variables by applying some software with the support of the Department of Environmental Protection and Improvement in the Southern Region.
Participation included introducing attendees to some of the software used in statistical analysis of data.
The workshop touched on mechanisms for collecting environmental data representative of society in a scientific manner, methods for tabulating and analyzing it statistically, and calculating some measures of central tendency, dispersion, and spread by applying the Excel program.
