A master thesis in the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts, University of Basrah, examined (the morphological structure and its implications in the collection of Malik al-Ashtar).
The thesis presented by researcher Rahma Ahmed Jassim included three chapters (the structures of abstract verbs and their connotations in the poetry of Malik al-Ashtar, the structures of incremental verbs and infinitives in the poetry of Malik al-Ashtar, and the structures of derivatives and their connotations in the poetry of Malik al-Ashtar).
The thesis aims to identify the morphological structures in the Diwan of Malik al-Ashtar and their meanings.
The thesis concluded:
The poet used the triliteral verbal and abstract nominal forms. This is due to its ease; Because most of them indicate movement and mobility, there are common forms between the suspicious adjective and the exaggerated forms, and most of the forms agree with the context in which they appear.
