A lecturer at the College of Science at Basra University, Mr. Moataz Hikmat Othman, in the Department of Ecology, published an article entitled Clean Air Means Healthy Children.
The article included a detailed explanation of the side effects of air pollution on children, slow cognitive development and their working memory abilities, as well as the negative impact on pregnant women who are exposed to the air and their giving birth to small children and the high risk of lung diseases and acute respiratory infections.
The article was published in the Iraqi “sky” news agency, which outlined tips to avoid the negative effects of all types of air pollution on children.
