The master's thesis in the Department of Arabic Language / College of Education for Humanities, University of Basra (The Self and the Other in the Poetry of Mujbil Al-Maliki)
The thesis presented by the student Shafa Abdul-Kazem Hussein aimed to study the self and the other, as the self cannot be studied in isolation from the other; because the other plays an important role in revealing the identity of the self, and the self also has a role in revealing the identity of the other, as they complement each other, as the research was interested in revealing a Basra poet who has not been adequately studied.
The thesis included a presentation of both the manifestations of the self and the manifestations of the other in the poetry of Mujbil Al-Maliki and their relationship to each other and how Mujbil Al-Maliki dealt with each of the branches of the self and the other.
The message concluded that the poet Mujbil Al-Maliki, despite his rich poetic experience, did not receive the critical attention it deserved. Moreover, he is a poet par excellence, as he possesses a delicate sense and the imagination of a creative poet who is skilled at formulating the text with few words that carry within them many meanings
