The Construction and Projects Department at the University of Basrah completed a number of important projects before the start of the academic year, under the direct supervision of the University President, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim.

The projects included the construction of buildings, classrooms, and specialized laboratories, in addition to opening and furnishing new roads, rehabilitating old roads, and completing a student parking lot. The department also supervised all projects assigned to other companies at the Bab Al-Zubair and Karma Ali sites and the Specialized University Hospital.

Notably, the Construction and Projects Department successfully completed the building for the College of Arts and Al-Zahra College of Medicine, dormitory buildings, and specialized tiered lecture halls in the Colleges of Nursing, Education for Girls, and Science. Achievements also included a student club at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, information rooms for the Follow-up Department, and low-cost housing units, among other vital facilities.

These continuous efforts reflect the University of Basrah presidency's commitment to providing an integrated educational and service environment that befits our dear students and faculty, enhancing the university's status as a leading scientific and architectural landmark.
