The thesis presented by the student In'am Ali Abdul Fahm aimed at the spatial analysis of livestock diseases in Basra Governorate, and identifying the factors that affect the infection of livestock with diseases and their geographical distribution, as the research relied on geographical methods in analyzing, classifying and analyzing data to know the causal relationships and spatial distributions of diseases
The thesis included five chapters preceded by an introduction and ended with results and a summary. The first chapter dealt with the geographical distribution of livestock in Basra Governorate, the second chapter dealt with the concept of diseases and their classifications, the third chapter dealt with the geographical distribution of diseases, the fourth chapter was about the factors affecting the spread of diseases, and the fifth chapter was about the efficiency of veterinary services and their role in reducing the spread of diseases.
The message concluded that climatic factors are among the main reasons that lead to an increase in the incidence of diseases, and that breeders in Basra Governorate lack awareness of the importance of environmental and health factors, which are among the most prominent reasons for the increase in infections, which in turn requires increased attention to health awareness among breeders to know the role of environmental and human factors in the infection of livestock with diseases
