A board research at the College of Medicine, University of Basrah discussed the estimation of the level of selected cytokines in the tear layer of keratoconic eyes (tumor necrosis factor alpha and interleukin 6). The research presented by the student Mustafa Dhafer Yasser aims to analyze the levels of interleukin 6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) in the tears of keratoconic patients. The research concluded that keratoconic patients had significantly higher average levels of IL-6 and TNF-α compared to the healthy group
