The College of Nursing at the University of Basra participated in the International Conference on Antibiotic-Resistant Microbes and Infectious Diseases from September 19 to 22, 2024, organized by the Infectious Diseases Association of the Bahrain Medical Society, with wide participation. The University of Basra was represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing, and Professor Dr. Abdul Amir Abdullah Al-Moussawi, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs. The conference also included the topic of infection control and vaccinations and their importance in their various forms, the most important infectious diseases and how to diagnose, treat and deal with them. Lieutenant General Dr. Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, honored the University of Basra, represented by its Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, for their support of the conference.
