The faculty members in the College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Basrah, Mr.Murtaja Hashem Baqer Al-Tamimi and Mrs. Nabaa Kareem Ahmed Al-Rabeah organized an online workshop on the reality of the Iraqi economy and ways to develop it.
The online workshop addressed the nature of the Iraqi economy after 2003, the extent of the distortions that accompanied the country’s economic sectors and the possible ways to address the imbalance.
The online workshop reviewed the imbalance of the State’s productive structure, the imbalance of the general budget structure, the imbalance in the structure of foreign trade and the justifications for economic reform.
The online workshop highlighted the extent of weakness in the Iraqi economy, which made the State’s economy and its federal budget under the weight of the fluctuations in global oil prices.
