
Dentistry College at Basra University held an introductory seminar for the Al-Ain Foundation for Social Care, which is run under the supervision and blessing of His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Husayni al-Sistani.
At the beginning of the seminar, Mr. Samir Abdul-Ridha, from the Al-Ain Foundation for Social Care, presented an overview of the Foundation's mandated work and its services to segments of society, including sponsoring and caring for orphans, widows, displaced persons, the sick, and the wounded, to the best possible level in health, educational, recreational, and self-sufficiency projects, as well as building and renovating housing for them.
The introductory seminar aimed to inform faculty and staff members of the college about the Foundation's work. A program affiliated with the Foundation and the project were also presented, as part of the first rehabilitation program of its kind for orphans in Iraq. He praised the organizers of the seminar and congratulated them for their efforts in caring for orphans. He stated that Dentistry College plays an important role in numerous campaigns to care for orphans and families of martyrs through the many volunteer campaigns of our faculty and students, which provide orphanages with medical supplies and offer specialized treatments and examinations in its educational clinics.
