Polymer Research Center at the University of Basrah held a workshop on nonlinear optical properties, in which Dr. Rajaa M. Abdullah and a number of the center's instructors participated. The workshop included an introduction to nonlinear optics and optical phenomena that occur as a result of the effect of laser beams on materials that have nonlinear optical properties and identifying most materials and their applications. It also explained some nonlinear optical techniques such as z-scan self-diffraction.
