The Department of History at the Faculty of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra organized the popular attitude towards the attacks of Christians on Andalusia during the reign of the Banu al-Ahmar state (635-897 AH / 1237-1492 AD).
The seminar aimed to identify the popular attitude in Andalusia and their role in defending the Bani al-Ahmar state from the attacks of the Christians.
The seminar, presented by graduate student Zaidoun Khalaf Kalash, discussed the role of the popular base of the Banu al-Ahmar and their role at various economic, social and political levels, as well as their military role, which is the most important role they played to support the steadfastness of the cities in the face of the attacks of the Christians against the Banu al-Ahmar state in Granada, the last Muslim stronghold in Andalusia.
