The lecturer :Dr. Qasim Fawzi at the College of Pharmacy,published a paper entitled (The Efficacy of Ozonated Saline Solution against Protoscoleces of Cystic Echinococcosis in Liver Hydatid Surgery) in the Indian International Journal of Pharmaceutical Research which is with an impact factor 0.13 and included within Scopes index The research included the use of ozone gas after dissolving it in normal saline for the purpose of eliminating the parasites producing watery cysts that infect the liver. Where the method proved the effectiveness of the solution in killing all parasites during the experiment that was conducted outside the body in the laboratory.The experiment has been successfully repeated several times, and this is the first time that ozone is used as an effective agent to kill the parasites of watery cysts that affect the internal organs of humans and animals, and it provides a great opportunity for treatment in the future without side effects, as ozone turns after its interaction with the parasites into oxygen and does not cause damage to the viscera And internal tissues.
