The Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra organized a scientific symposium on women's mental health and digital transformation
The symposium aimed to identify the impact of smart devices on women's mental health and their role in increasing stress and anxiety in women.
The symposium, which was lectured by a number of the college's instructors, discussed the impact of technology on women's mental health, the excessive use of smart devices and online communication, and their impact on increasing stress and anxiety in women and sleep disorders.
The symposium demonstrated the positive effects of technological development in providing psychological support to women and balancing between positive use and reducing the negative effects of technology on women's mental health, emphasizing the importance of relaxation, away from screens, and enhancing real social interaction.
The symposium was attended by Dr. Maida Mardan Muhi, Dr. Maysaa Abdul Hamza, and instructor Iman Naeem, head of the Women's Affairs Unit at the college.
