The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a seminar on artificial rain in the face of climate change.
The workshop aimed at the role of artificial rain in reducing climate change and moderating the atmosphere.
The workshop, in which lecturer Moataz Hekmat Othman lectured, included the topic of artificial rain and its most important benefits and positive aspects, as well as the conditions necessary for the rain process to occur, the types of artificial rain and the possibility of applying it within Iraq.
The workshop recommended that artificial rain be one of the proposed solutions to reduce climate change with other solutions such as rationalizing water consumption and establishing facilities to preserve and store water.
