The Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra organized a discussion session on the culture of participation in the decision-making and problem-solving process.
The session aimed to identify the ability to enhance the participatory culture in the educational institution, nurture the mind and decision-making, and occupy the mind with capable scientific techniques and re-arrange them in a more efficient way away from controversies and adopt scientific participatory ideas.
The session, presented by the lecturer Wafaa Abbas Laibi, addressed the culture of participation in decision-making to achieve transparency and democracy and involve all members of society in the decision-making process that directly affects them, regardless of their nationalities or backgrounds.
The session addressed the need to encourage the culture of participation and help build trust and enhance the sense of belonging, cooperation and solidarity among members of society, and listen to everyone's opinions, which helps in making better and more comprehensive decisions, as they reflect different points of view and interests
