Discussion Panel Held on the "Moringa Tree" and Its Therapeutic Benefits
The Department of Pharmacognosy and Medicinal Plants at the College of Pharmacy organized a specialized discussion panel focused on the Moringa tree and its pharmacological properties.
The panel featured a lecture by Lecturer Anwar Hamad Ali, who detailed the morphological characteristics of Moringa oleifera and its native habitat. She highlighted the biological activity of the plant's leaf extracts in regulating blood sugar and cholesterol, as well as treating stomach ulcers.
The goal of the panel was to explore the plant's health benefits as a nutritional supplement rich in minerals and vitamins. It also emphasized the importance of utilizing natural extracts for disease prevention or as a supportive aid alongside conventional drug therapies.
