The Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the Faculty of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra organized a seminar on the positive and negative effects of the admission mechanism for postgraduate students in light of the opinions of faculty members at universities in the southern region.
The seminar aimed to identify the admission mechanism for graduate students in universities, the positive and negative effects and the extent to which the success of educational systems is linked to the efficiency of the systems for admission and registration in Iraqi higher education institutions.
The seminar, which was presented by student Ahmed Odeh Daoud, included explaining the concept of the admission mechanism and the negative and positive effects resulting from it, identifying the difficulties facing graduate students and working to develop appropriate solutions, as the current admission and registration systems do not meet their required purpose, which requires thinking about building a new system model that meets the needs of these institutions during the admission and registration process.
