The College of Science at the University of Basra organized a workshop on Mechanism for Writing the Annual Accreditation File for the Department ofBiology, which was presented by Prof. Dr. Najwa Muhammad Jamil Ali Abu Mejdad . The workshop aimed to clarify the important criteria and indicators that must be included in the accreditation file. The workshop included the importance of the accreditation file for life sciences specializations, as it clarifies the academic program plan, academic accreditation requirements, learning objectives, and program outcomes. It includes course preparation, course descriptions, evaluation criteria, and teaching strategies. It is written based on international and local standards to ensure academic quality, with continuous review to meet the needs of the labor market . The workshop recommended forming internal committees in the Department ofBiology to complete the task as soon as possible and for the Department ofBiology to obtain local and then international accreditation for science specializations.
