The English Department at the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra organized a discussion session on taking a position in the article Good News in Iraq and Beyond by the linguist Noam Chomsky.
The session aims to identify the expressions of contempt used in the article.
The session, presented by lecturer Hanin Ali Juma, dealt with one of the critical periods that Iraq and Palestine went through, and analyzed the article according to the behavioral system of Martin White's evaluation theory
