The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a seminar on the sources of heavy elements and their toxicity in the environment.
The session, in which master's student Zahraa Salah Fadhel lectured, aimed to identify the sources of heavy metal pollution and their negative effects on the environment and human health.
The session dealt with explaining the mechanisms of heavy metal transfer in the environment and their biological impact on living organisms and possible solutions to reduce their harmful effects
