The College of Dentistry at the University held an awareness seminar under the slogan (For a Safe Family) as part of the electronic blackmail lectures entitled "Reducing Electronic Blackmail Cases and Protecting Mobile Phones" in cooperation with the Educational Guidance and Psychological Guidance Unit.
The seminar aims to introduce society to the most important facts and problems that we face in light of electronic development and the increasing reliance on it in work, and the preventive methods and recommendations that must be followed to limit the spread of this phenomenon, control it and protect citizens from it, as it is considered one of the serious crimes that are foreign to our society.
The seminar, in which the lecturer Dr. Saeed Kazim Ahmed lectured, included the most important basic concepts of electronic blackmail, its motives and basic characteristics that must be taken into account in order to provide the necessary protection for mobile devices and other electronic means.
The seminar concluded with the most important methods that must be followed in order to confront electronic blackmail crimes, including the legislative aspect that requires the establishment of a special law for electronic crimes, in addition to other awareness and guidance aspects.
