The College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra organized a joyful celebration on the occasion of the birth of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Khazal Al-Kaabi.
The celebration aimed to shed light on the positions of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and his great virtues that formed an essential part of Islamic history, while emphasizing the values he left for future generations.
In his speech, the Dean of the College touched on the wisdom and virtues of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and his emphasis on the importance of knowledge and learning it and his continuous call to acquire knowledge and spread it among people and his focus on the importance of time and making the most of every moment in a person's life.
The Dean of the College stressed that celebrating the birth of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, is not just a religious occasion, but rather an opportunity to remind people of the high values that everyone should strive to achieve in their daily lives, especially in the field of knowledge and good deeds.
The celebration included many cultural segments and poems that reviewed his fragrant biography and his great impact on the history of the Islamic nation.
