The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah conducted a course on the decentralized government accounting system.
The course aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of participants regarding the decentralized government accounting system and the funding of governmental units.
Presented by Dr. Ali Majid Hadi, the course covered the concept of the public treasury, its duties, and its formations under the decentralized government accounting system.
It also clarified the concept, advantages, and disadvantages of the decentralized government accounting system, explained how treasuries and units are funded, and outlined the key accounting documents used. Additionally, the course detailed the procedures for document control under this system.
