The College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra hosted the Islamic researcher Mr. Ali Al-Talqani in a valuable lecture entitled "Moderation and Rejection of Extremism", in cooperation with the Center for Educational Guidance and Psychological Care.
The lecture began with an introduction by the Dean of the College, Dr. Haider Khazal Al-Kaabi, who highlighted Mr. Al-Talqani's prominent role in the field of social guidance and guidance towards sublime human values.
Mr. Al-Talqani addressed the topic of moderation and its pivotal role in promoting understanding and peaceful coexistence among individuals, the importance of using dialogue as a means to combat extremism that threatens the stability of society, and spreading the values of tolerance and mutual respect to limit the spread of extremist thought.
Al-Talqani pointed out the need to enhance the role of educational institutions in spreading the culture of peace and guiding young people to be active elements in building a safe and cooperative society. The lecture concluded with fruitful interaction by the students, who expressed their appreciation for the ideas and concepts discussed in the lecture
