College of Education for Humanities Organizes a Scientific Visit to the Arabian Gulf Academy
The Department of Geography at the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra organized a scientific visit to the Arabian Gulf Academy for Maritime Studies affiliated with the Naval Forces of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense.
The visit aimed to introduce third-year students in the Geography Department to the scientific aspects provided by the Academy in the field of marine sciences.
The visit included introducing students to the planetarium and the orbits of stars and how to use them in marine navigation, presented by the Academy professors who explained how to determine directions via the stars and use them in sailing.
This scientific visit was supervised by Dr. Kifaya Abdullah Al-Ali, Dr. Bushra Ramadan Yassin, and Dr. Hussein Juban, in addition to the lecturer Wahida Dawood Mahmoud.
