The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a scientific trip for the department's students of all academic levels to Al-Mashab Marsh/Hareer Station for marshland research.
The visit was to see the environmental and biological diversity in the region. The visit was conducted to conduct field measurements for students in the courses of Environmental Basics (E101 and E102), Biodiversity (E208), Aquatic Environment (E311), and other courses.
The trip is part of the department's curriculum for field application of the subjects taught in the department and to enable students to acquire practical and field skills, which leads to enhancing students' confidence in the science they are studying.
