A scientific study at the University of Basra prepared by Professor Dr. Hussein Abdul Saud from the Department of Pathological Analyzes at the Faculty of Science at the University of Basra examined the developmental defect in the growth of limbs from the ectoderm resulting from a point mutation in the edaradd gene.
The study, which was published in a journal classified among clarivits and scopes and located within the first quarter (Q1) scientific report of limb loss, showed. The study showed the identification of one of the point genetic mutations causing score 6.5.
