The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a seminar on wastewater treatment with green coagulants.
The seminar, which was lectured by graduate student Zahraa Aqeel Issa, aimed to collect and isolate a number of types of algae and plants to test them in producing green biocoagulants and then test them in removing turbidity.
The seminar dealt with the application of the best two types of coagulants in ideal conditions for treating wastewater containing dyes.
