PhD thesis in the Department of Arabic Language / College of Education for Humanities - University of Basra discusses ((Inference from the speech of the Arabs for grammatical guidance in the books of the meanings of the Qur’an and its parsing until the end of the fourth century AH)). The thesis presented by the student (Haider Kamel Khader Suwaid) aimed to analyze this type of reasoning, and seek to uncover the motives for conducting it, and monitor some of its controls, in addition to analyzing the reasoning structures by monitoring the limits of its issues and then arranging them in specific reasoning forms, classifying their types and methods of use, and clarifying some of the factors that can affect the value of its results, weakening or refuting them. The thesis included three chapters preceded by an introduction and followed by a conclusion as follows: The introduction was entitled (Inference, its concept, terms, and its relationship to analogy and grammatical guidance), while the first chapter was entitled (Inference, coherence, purposes, and controls), while the second chapter was entitled: (Types of reasoning in view of its logical forms, and areas of use in the grammatical industry), while the third chapter was entitled (Probability and fallacy and their effect on reasoning and a reading in some Its issues
And I concluded: That the implementation of the deductive practice in the books of the meanings of the Qur’an and its parsing is in accordance with the manner required by the deductive purpose, and with what the result generated by the deduction requires in terms of its acceptability in the grammatical industry, as the one who deduces is keen to raise the validity of the result by strengthening the deduction with auditory evidence, especially if the result is contrary to what is prevalent.
