The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah organized a course on the integrity of the Arabic language.
The course aims to enable the trainee to write memos, studies, research and edit official books in a correct language free of linguistic, grammatical and spelling errors.
The course, presented by Dr. Ayman Saleh Ne'mah, included writing the hamza (الهمزة) at the beginning of the word (hamzat al-wasl (همزة الوصل) and hamzat al-qata' (همزة القطع)) and writing the hamza in the middle of the word (written on alif, waw or ya') and writing the long taa (التاء الطويلة) and taa marbuta (التاء المربوطة) and writing the number and the shortened noun and the defective noun and the extended noun and common linguistic errors.
The course recommended intensifying Arabic language integrity courses and including them in the annual performance evaluation to be an encouraging incentive to participate in such courses.
