The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a course on accounting and auditing.
The course aimed to enable participants to understand contemporary accounting and auditing practices and familiarize themselves with modern accounting and auditing procedures.
The course, presented by Dr. Ali Majid Hadi, included the accounting section, which covered the conceptual framework of accounting and how to prepare final accounts and financial statements. The auditing section covered the development of auditing, the modern concept of auditing, the objectives and importance of auditing, and the stages of audit implementation. It also focused on the differences between internal and external auditing, as well as the differences between accounting and auditing
