Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim,
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basra organized a large-scale tree-planting campaign on campus as part of the larger tree-planting campaign.
A variety of evergreen trees and seasonal seedlings were planted with the active participation of college members, including professors, staff, and students.
The campaign aims to enhance green spaces on campus, contributing to an improved environment and reducing pollution rates. Trees are an effective means of increasing the level of oxygen in the atmosphere and absorbing harmful gases. They also contribute to moderating the climate and reducing temperatures, which promotes a healthy university environment.
The Deanship of the College of Dentistry affirms its commitment to social and environmental responsibility, with a clear aspiration that this campaign will be part of comprehensive efforts aimed at preserving the environment and improving lands affected by desertification.
