As part of a series of activities undertaken by the College of Dentistry at the University of Basra, encompassing all academic, humanitarian, and service aspects, and in continuation of its support for the Sustainable Development Goals, a number of faculty members and students from the college visited the Basra Authority for Disability and Special Needs Care.
The visit included examining and treating orphans, diagnosing oral diseases, and providing oral and dental health care. The visit also included interacting with orphans at the institution, which cares for them and alleviates their suffering. Gifts were also distributed among the orphans.
The visit aimed to examine the reality of the institution, its work, and the services provided to orphans. It also aimed to discuss the significant role of the institution and the people of our beloved city in examining and treating them in the College of Dentistry's teaching clinics, caring for children, and providing them with a suitable and stable life.
The institution expressed its welcome and happiness with the initiative and is always ready to welcome delegations and initiatives from the University of Basra and other institutions.
