Dentistry College at Basra University organized a scientific symposium on the mechanism of publishing in prestigious international journals with a high impact factor. The symposium was attended by a number of faculty members, researchers, and specialists.
It aimed to introduce the mechanism of writing sound scientific research, clarify methods for selecting international scientific journals with a high impact factor, and discuss scientific methods for writing research papers for publication in journals.
The symposium, presented by Professor Dr. Asaad Yahya, included a detailed explanation of the publishing process and the administrative structure of these scientific journals. It also provided an introduction to some of the terminology specific to international journals, the requirements of journals according to the publishing entity, and the search process for specialized journals on the internationally recognized Scopus website.
At the end of the symposium, the lecturer reviewed the websites of international journals affiliated with international publishing institutions and explained how faculty members can gain experience in opening accounts on these sites and following up on research forms on the journals' websites to obtain publication approval.
