
Dentistry College at Basra University organized a training workshop on basic first aid to enhance the skills of students and teaching staff in dealing with emergency situations.
The training workshop aimed to provide participants with basic first aid concepts, the importance of ensuring the safety of the first aider and the injured, and safe intervention to assess the case and administer first aid. This helps improve outcomes and increase the chances and rates of recovery from injuries.
The workshop included a lecture by Assistant Professor Sundus Abdul Wadud on the importance and principles of first aid for certain conditions, such as burns, suffocation, drowning, and heart attacks.
Also, the workshop focused on enhancing participants' skills in dealing with emergency situations inside and outside clinics, reflecting the university's commitment to developing the capabilities of its staff and contributing to community service.
