University of Basrah Organizes a Visit to Nursing Home

The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah organized a visit to the nursing home as part of the activities of the Social Welfare Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in Basrah Governorate. This visit, in line with the College of Administration and Economics' vision of serving the community, was sponsored by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Hussein Tawfiq Shibli, and supervised by the Assistant Dean for scientific Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ammar Yousef Dhajar. 
The activity included a visit by a group of college and students from the Business Administration Department to the nursing home, part of the Social Welfare Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in Basrah Governorate. During the visit, they met with 22 elderly men and 14 women.

The visit aimed to enhance the humane side of our parents in the nursing home, and to express our moral duty towards the elderly. It aimed to share their moments, embrace them with warmth, and repay this important segment of society by checking on the health of the elderly and addressing their humanitarian needs. The voluntary visit included presenting gifts to the home if they helped meet some of their basic needs, as well as providing psychological and social support to enhance their sense of importance in society.
